Web Creator wins the Commercial Success Title at the OCTAS Awards!

Montreal, May 27th 2008 – LMSOFT, the Montreal software company, a customer of NetMarketingSolution, won the title for best “Commercial Success” at the Octas Awards last week for its popular website builder solution called Web Creator . The 22nd OCTAS Awards are a FIQ Association initiative, organized to highlight the merit of Quebec technology abroad.

Since its introduction to the mass-markets, it was crystal clear that Web Creator answered a real need. Available in two different versions: Standard and Pro, Web Creator has achieved a record level of sales numbering over 40 000 copies, an 85% increase from the preceding record year. With a total of 150 000 copies sold, LMSOFT counts 95% of its sales in export.
An easy to use website builder solution
A 5-year French and a 3-year Dutch leader in its class, Web Creator was created in 2001 by two passionate entrepreneurs: Luc Michaud and Luc Carreau. Their goal was to fill the growing need of small businesses, and mass-market consumers to create modern websites with multimedia visual effects and a professional look, without the need for programming of graphic design knowledge.
"Since its introduction to the mass-markets, it was crystal clear that Web Creator answered a real need," explains Luc Carreau, LMSOFT's Executive Vice President. "That's the reason why our sales illustrate a constant growth, and a blossoming user community of over 10 000 members."
However, a good software solution is nothing without the merchandising team. "LMSOFT would like to thank Mindscape, its European editor, for the excellent merchandising work, as well as the promotion of Web Creator in this market," explains Luc Michaud, president of LMSOFT.
Founded in 1984, LMSOFT has had since the mission of offering easy to use software solutions, no programming knowledge needed. Other than Web Creator, the website editing software solution, LMSOFT also offers FTP SiteManager, a file transfer tool to put a website online.
Throughout the years, LMSOFT's product line has received numerous prizes and acknowledgments from organizations such as MIM and COMDEX of Chicago.
An annual celebration since 1987, organized by the Quebec IT network association, the FIQ, the Octas awards honors individuals, companies, and organizations for their creativity, their vitality and their exceptional contribution to the technology industry.
The Octas awards will take place Saturday, may 24th 2008, at the Quebec Congress Center under the honorary presidency of Mr. Pierre Shedleur, President and CEO, Société générale de financement du Québec.
