Del.icio.us is a Web 2.0 platform used for sharing bookmarks. The social book marking web service allows you to store, share, and discover various web bookmarks. This website has belonged to Yahoo since 2005 and has a database of close to 100 million bookmarks.

Digg allows Web 2.0 users to share Internet content. This site allows you to submit links, vote and comment on these links. You can discover a wide range of stories and content from all over the world. The word “digging” translates the action of voting on different stories and content. Facebook is an online network website community. You can join for free and be part of the phenomenon. Once a member, you can find friends, add pictures, join various groups, share your activities, and send messages to your friends. Where does the word “facebook” come from? Employers often search for potential candidates using this website.

is a plug-in that allows its users to post and rate all kinds of web pages, including photos and videos. Once installed, a toolbar is added to your browser and by simply selecting the “stumble” icon; a web page is displayed for your vote and comments. The web pages are displayed based on previous submissions, comments and votes. The more a page is voted for, the more often it will show up when a user “stumbles”. This is a growing trend at the moment.
